Seth Schiesel, a former journalist at The New York Times, has joined Xbox as its director of executive communications.
Announcing the news in a tweet, Schiesel revealed he would be transitioning from journalism to join the team over at Xbox. His hope is to “continue to extend the joy and community of gaming to people everywhere”.

Other executives, such as Xbox boss Phil Spencer, have also welcomed Schiesel to the team. Greenberg said he has “admired his work over the years” and is looking forward to bringing his “experience and perspective” to Xbox. Phil Spencer has also been interviewed by Schiesel on previous occasions, and was even teased about the hidden Xbox Series S in Spencer’s home.
