Not long ago, we reported that Nintendo of Japan was stopping repairs services for 3DS and 3DS XL consoles from 31st March this year. Nintendo has now advised that their stock of repair parts have depleted and it’s had to stop accepting repairs immediately (8th March 2021). Nintendo of Japan announced the news on Twitter and apologised for inconvenience. Repairs for the New 3DS, New 3DS XL, 2DS, and 2DS XL will still be accepted. Here’s the translated text from Nintendo’s tweet:
Since the stock of repair parts has run out, we will stop accepting repairs for the Nintendo 3DS main unit and Nintendo 3DS LL main unit on March 8, 2021 when we arrive at our company. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
