Update [Fri 8th Jan, 2021 05:05 GMT]: Following on from yesterday’s last-moment delay, SNK has now gone ahead with its big announcements.
King of Fighters XV is arriving this year, but platforms have not been announced yet. Keep in mind, the previous entry in the series was exclusive to the PlayStation 4 on console. More info about this game will be revealed next week.
The first two fighters in Samurai Shodown’s Season Pass 3 have also been revealed. First up is Cham Cham (arriving mid-March this year) and will be followed by Hibiki Takane from SNK’s classic fighting game, The Last Blade 2.

Original article [Thu 7th Jan, 2021 05:25 GMT]: SNK has postponed the announcement of King of Fighters 15 and the reveal of Samurai Shodown’s Season Pass 3.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait just a little bit longer – with the plan to now reschedule the date and time as soon as possible. No reason was provided, but the SNK Twitter account said the company appreciated fans’ understanding.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the announcements. We will inform our fans as soon as the new date and time has been confirmed, and appreciate your kind understanding. #SNK— SNK GLOBAL (@SNKPofficial) January 6, 2021
Although the previous entry in the KOF series hasn’t been released on Xbox platforms, it is available on Microsoft Windows. Alternatively, you can grab The King of Fighters XIII, which is part of the games with gold lineup this month.
As for Samurai Showdown, it’s also set to be optimised for Xbox Series X|S, although we haven’t heard an update about this version for a while. Were you looking forward to these announcements? Leave a comment down below.
