The Last of Us: Part II has picked up another accolade – well, eight of them to be precise. Naughty Dog’s sublime sequel netted PS4 Game of the Year in the community voted PS Blog poll, and this year an eye-watering 2.5 million votes were cast in total. That’s a quite phenomenal statistic really, and a new record for the official website.
To be honest, it’d be more efficient for us to talk about the awards The Last of Us: Part II didn’t win, but first let’s roll off Naughty Dog’s list of accolades:
Best Narrative
Best Accessibility Features
Best Graphical Showcase
Best Soundtrack
Best Sound Design
Gaming Moment of the Year
PS4 Game of the Year
Studio of the Year
So, what’s left? Well, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales picked up PS5 Game of the Year and Best New Character, while Fall Guys swooped in with Best Indie Game. Star Wars: Squadrons won Best PSVR Experience, while Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 grinded out Best Sports Game. Ghost of Tsushima won Best Art Direction, while Call of Duty: Warzone infiltrated Best Multiplayer.
