Publisher Mastiff and developer Actual Nerds showed off a new gameplay teaser trailer for their upcoming 2D dark fantasy action RPG, The Tarnishing of Juxtia
The new teaser for The Tarnishing of Juxtia highlights some of the game’s platforming sections and brutal boss encounters. An “Energy Rush” system rewards players landing consecutive attacks with a sudden boost of stamina and mana, thus encouraging a more aggressive playstyle.
Actual Nerds and Mastiff have also remarked that the game will contain more than 35 weapons and 18 armor sets, which can synergize with Relics and magic abilities contained within The Tarnishing of Juxtia. Numerous character builds are possible as players gradually learn and master boss battles.
The Tarnishing of Juxtia is still coming to PC (Steam) in Summer 2022.
The Tarnishing of Juxtia combines atmospheric pixel art and a hauntingly beautiful score with incredibly challenging 2D skirmishes. Taking on the role of the final creation of the Goddess Juxtia, players are tasked with defeating the Shadow God Drelium of Crescentpeak – a mysterious, alien realm filled with strange machinery and occult magic.
