Square Enix announced that Trials of Mana has surpassed 1 million copies shipped worldwide. This number combined physical shipments with digital sales on all available platforms where the remake was released.
Trials of Mana was released simultaneously worldwide on April 24, 2020. During the financial results briefing held in August, the company’s president Yosuke Matsuda noted that sales of the Trials of Mana remake had significantly surpassed initial expectations. The last known figure for physical sales was almost 250 thousand copies in Japan as of June 2020.
Square Enix has also shared a celebratory illustration to mark the 1 million copies milestone. The picture is also available to view on the game’s Japanese official website.
Trials of Mana is now available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game received a major update to version 1.10 that mainly brought new harder difficulty levels in October 2020.
