There’s no getting around it: Nintendo Switch is destroying the UK’s physical games chart right now. In the all formats top 10, five of the games are exclusive to the hybrid system — six if you include the boxed version of Minecraft for Switch. The first multi-platform game in the list is Just Dance 2021, although just eight per cent of sales are attributed to the PlayStation 4 version.
Looking at just PS4 games, it’s none other than Grand Theft Auto V that sells most on Sony’s last-gen console. It’s up several places to fourth in the all formats top 10 due to a bump in sales. FIFA 21 moves down a couple of places to sixth, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War isn’t far behind in seventh. If you’re wondering, the week’s best-selling physical PS5 game is Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which appears on the all formats chart in number 12.
